Psychological peculiarities of assertiveness of young specialists in the sphere of education

The article presents the results of an empirical study of the peculiarities of manifestation of personality traits depending on the level of expression of assertiveness (passive, assertive, persistent) in young specialists in the sphere of education. As a result, it was found that young professionals with a low level of assertiveness (passive) are characterised by low levels of aggressiveness and self-confidence, but higher levels of hostility and anxiety. Young professionals with a medium level of assertiveness (assertive) demonstrate a low level of aggressiveness and moderate hostility, compared to the first group, they have lower anxiety and higher self-confidence. Young specialists with a high level of assertiveness (persistent) demonstrated a higher level of self-confidence and lower levels of aggressiveness, hostility and anxiety, compared to other groups. No group differences were found in the manifestations of cognitive and affective empathy. The obtained results can be used in the course of psychological support of professional development of young specialists in the sphere of education.References
