Restrictions in labor law during the crisis period

Abstract

The article analyzes the labor and legal restrictions associated with the political and economic crisis at the present stage of development of the Russian Federation, which affects the Russian labor market. The author identifies groups of causes that caused the political and economic crisis. The sanctioned labor and legal restrictions imposed on Russia by foreign states have been studied in detail. An assessment of their impact on the country's economy is given. Special attention is paid to the block of restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Another important aspect of the study is a special military operation. It caused the introduction of a number of labor and legal restrictions aimed both at stabilizing the situation in conditions of political tension and at protecting the rights of mobilized workers. The issue of applying the norms of Russian labor law in the newly annexed territories is considered, taking into account the acts of the regions in force at the time of accession. The article attempts to systematize labor and legal restrictions imposed during the crisis period in order to compile a holistic picture of the mechanism of restrictions. The paper analyzes a wide range of scientific papers and regulatory material of both Russian and foreign legislation. Based on the conducted research, reasonable conclusions are drawn about the specific signs of labor and legal restrictions in the crisis period, about the effectiveness of the chosen mechanism of restrictions as a way to stabilize the situation. In addition, the author's classification of restrictions in the labor law of the crisis period is proposed.
