About legal status of minor parents

Abstract

The norms on the legal status of minor parents appeared in Russian law with the adoption of the current Family Code of the Russian Federation, becoming a positive novelty that eliminated a fairly large gap in legislation. The presence of minors who had children was evident, and the regulation of the legal status of this category of persons was previously absent. However, many legal issues related to the protection of the rights and interests of a minor parent and his child have remained outside the framework of family law regulation, which exacerbates the already difficult problem of legal protection of early motherhood from all points of view. The author will focus on some aspects of this problem within the framework of this article.
