Specificity of Gender Perception of Borrowed Vocabulary (on the Material of the Semantic Sphere "Cinema")

Abstract

The article presents the psycholinguistic meaning of words borrowed from the English language, and the peculiarities of their understanding by youth language consciousness are revealed. Based on the data of a psycholinguistic experiment, associative fields of lexemes prikvel, ekshn, treyler are formed, their seminal composition is presented and the psycholinguistic meaning is formulated. A comparative analysis of the semantics of lexemes data based on English and Russian lexicographical meanings and psycholinguistic meaning formulated on the basis of a psycholinguistic experiment has been carried out. The description of the psycholinguistic meaning is presented separately for the male and female linguistic consciousness. This way of describing the results allows to reveal the gender characteristics of the studied lexemes in the youth language consciousness. The conclusion about the gender undifferentiation of these lexemes is made. The article also presents conclusions about the degree of development of anglicisms by Russian language consciousness.
