"Orientation in speech" as a category of receptive linguistics

Abstract

The article describes some foundations of the new branch of linguistics. The so called ‘receptive linguistics' is the language description that takes into consideration modeling process of perception. This approach makes it possible to regard reference and the communicative organization of utterances as two aspects of the linguistic category that denotes the correlation of the text with the reality; what words denote new objects and what lexemes mention objects that the Hearer should know. This category is called ‘speech orientation.
