Forms and practices of citizen participation in the management of socio-political processes at the regional and municipal levels

In the article, I discuss the current issues of the participation of citizens in making key policy decisions at the regional and municipal levels. Assembly and gatherings of citizens, public hearings and polls, elections of officials and referendums on local self-government, law-making initiatives provided for by the Federal Law of the Russian Federation are important forms of civil participation. The article presents the results of sociological research conducted in the Yaroslavl region in 2013-2018, which are of scientific interest and applied importance. In my research, I highlight the current trends in the development of civil activity at the regional and municipal levels.References
