To the Issue of the Functioning of Public Opinion in the Sphere of Foreign Policy

The issue of functioning of public opinion in the sphere of foreign policy is under consideration in the article. In particular, the significance of public opinion in the development and realization of foreign policy course is under discussion. Besides, the main dimensions of foreign policy consciousness, which enable ordinary citizens to comprehend the information about foreign policy events and to formulate the opinion about the effectiveness of governments' activity, are described on the basis of American and Russian scholars' research.References
