Sociological markers of social spaces as a tool for research and management of the space of cities

Abstract

The article presents a theoretical and methodological analysis of the study of social space. Social space with the dynamics of its development informs about the prospects for the development of the city: the reduction in the scale and aspects of the social space signals the extinction of the life of cities, and the increase in its scale and variety of manifestations - the trends towards the development of urban settlements. Simultaneously, the city as a result of urbanization appears as a generator of social space, because it is a "social product" of the development of technology, economics, culture, and any human activity. The result of reflection on the formation and transformation of social space was the theoretical and methodological justification for the creation of an analytical model for the sociological analysis of social space in the city and its formulation. This research tool is a set of indicators of urban development, allowing for a detailed analysis of various areas of interaction in the social space of the city and based on the results of the survey to determine the direction of corrective measures.
